January 5, 2012 ...

I am now traveling the country, and preparing for my "thru hike" of the entire 2,181 miles of the Appalachian Trail.  I expect to begin hiking this spring in Georgia, and hopefully will finish before October the 15th - when the trail closes at the northern terminus in Maine.  I will have my iPhone with me, and will be more than pleased to accept your calls and emails.  So I look forward to hearing from you!
